We’re 7 years late. But now is better than never. Here’s why golf advertising matters…

Dear Reader,

 

This marks the first of a series of blog posts on golf advertising.


I know I’m 7 years late to the blogging fad. And I’m aware that this likely won’t reach many viewers. But the best time to start something new is now… and so, here I go.


First an introduction: My name is Nicklaus Cowx, and I’m the founder of CowxGolfAdvertising (formerly CowxDigitalMedia). At the time of this writing, I am 21 years old. But that stuff is all boring… who am I really?!


I am an obsessed human being. I don’t take kindly to laziness. And I have trouble believing that I wasn’t put on the earth to do great things. Luckily, I’ve found my passion— Advertising. I find it to be the most interesting thing in the world.


So, why have I started this blog?


Firstly, for the rather self-fish reason, to get my SEO right. Can’t catch fish in an empty pond. The second reason is much less selfish…


I’ve started this blog in hopes that 100 posts from now— when it has legs— a general manager or marketing director stumbles upon it, reads it, and takes away one great tip embedded in my outpouring. With that tip, I hope they make a whole bunch of money.


Whether that be by getting new members, booking more events, selling more golf resort packages, or selling more golf products, I truly hope that a golf advertising tip of mine can cause an overflow of money in the direction of just one reader.


My information is good enough. How do I know it is? Well firstly, 95% of it I’ve learned from great advertisers of the past. David Ogilvy, Claude Hopkins, Joe Sugarman, and Dan Kennedy to name a few. The other 5%… well… I’ve worked really hard for that 5%. Sleepless nights and countless hours at my desk creating, testing, and tracking ad campaigns. 


So, If you’re going to advertise, you may as well avoid all the stupid mistakes I’ve made… right? After all, it’s free.
